Every year, religous and non-religious folk gather around to yell and debate which form of holiday greeting is acceptable and which is not.
This. Is. Ridiculous. People are just trying to wish each other a happy holiday in their own fashion, no manner of which should be offensive. If someone wished you 'good night' in their native language, it'd seem cultural, but if there's any sense of religion or personal involvment it becomes an ordeal.
I say that everyone greets each other in their usual form, and everyone retorts in the same way. So if I say "Happy holidays" to someone, they'd reply "Thank you, happy kwanza!".
Wait, is that even possible?
(Sorry for the spelling, without Chrome's spell check I may as well be a fifth grade writer...)
I have been thinking about starting a Youtube channel lately. The idea is to create a network for different types of geeks to share their collective knowledge through a viral medium. I'd like to take the ideas that spur and grow in my friends and my head and share it in a fun, comedic way. The channel would be called geek2geek (similair to Peer to Peer network) and would feature different geeks showing off creative geek skills: how to set up a media server, rig sound reactive LEDs to a drumset, lose weight RPG style, talk to girls/boys, root your phone, land a job, and more... Obviously I won't be posting my best ideas online.
The only problem is getting the time and motivation. I think it'd be a great experince!
I don't blog too often anymore because of my busy schedual, although now that I've downloaded the app for my Asus Transformer I feel that I might write here more often.
I'm sitting in my macroeonomics class listening to people debate about teachers pay and real estate, even though we're supposed to be discussing the Phillips Curve. There's no relation between the two topics.
Oh lord, now we're talking about the teachers retirement plans. What is going on here?! The vauge, desperately vauge topics of economics persistantly bore me, but I do believe in actually learning something in a class that I pay for. I guess I'm just too frustrated to be blogging. Oh, class is lettiing out early, gtg!
[Edit] Looks like I didn't study for a quiz in English. This is just great. Maybe I'll just blog all day, it's not like any of my teachers are saying anything comprehensive of late anyway.
I'm seriously concerned with my GPA this semester. It's been so difficullt to stay on top of things. Grades, registartation and the like have been eluding me. I know that they're important but somehow I keep subconciously avoiding responsibilty. How can I pull out of this trough? I'll work on it tonight, although it's precisely that mindset that got me here in the first place...
[Edit again] Time for my math class. This is quite the arudous task. I was seriously interested in augmenting my mathmatical skills this year, mainly due to its key role in my major. This class, however, has the teaching equvilent of a 1940's audio tape. Don't get me wrongn, the professor is a great guy, it's just that he cannot seem to grab the classes attention, or even effectively convey the material to the class.
There might be another edit during my Astronomy class...
[Who saw this one coming?]
Just kidding, Astronomy is awesome.
